Woman’s car ends up on its side against concrete barrier after crash

A woman has escaped with minor injuries after her car ended up sideways on a barrier near Coventry University this afternoon.

The driver hit the concrete barrier after a collision with a lorry on Ringway Whitefriars just before 3pm today (Tuesday).

An ambulance and paramedic officer attended the incident.

“Upon arrival ambulance staff found a car which had ended up on its side and facing the wrong way, leaning against the central reservation barrier,” A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said.

“Thankfully, the driver of the car, a woman in her late teens, escaped with just a minor leg injury. She was assessed and treated on scene but didn’t require hospital treatment.

“The lorry driver was uninjured.”
