Coventry’s speedway team has been taken off the market after its owner announced there would be no sale.
Mick Horton, who had previously said he was looking to find a new 0wner for the beleagured club, has now changed his mind.
“As far as I’m concerned, it’s unfinished business,” he told the Coventry Telegraph.
“My heart and soul, along with my family’s, and my investments are all in this club.
“We want to be part of trying to get the Bees back on track. We love this club.
“When it first happened I was so disappointed, demoralised and shocked. It just drained me.
“I just thought if someone wanted to come forward I would sell, but nobody has come rushing in with an offer,” he added.
But he said that he may step aside in the future.
“If we did get the Bees back on track, I would step to one side, concentrate on the commercial side of things and bring someone else in to run it,” he said.
