Travellers told by council to leave area in Aldermans Green

Members of the traveller community living in caravans on land in Aldermans Green have been told they must leave today.

They are currently living on land near Almond Tree Avenue.

But Coventry City Council has now undertaken a needs assessment and found that those staying on the site were not suffering from any welfare problems which would justify a longer stay.

As a result, eviction notices have been served and the group must leave by this afternoon (Tuesday 6th).
