Three men have been arrested after stealing £3m worth of engines

Three men have been arrested after stealing £3m worth of engines from Jaguar Land Rover.

The men used a lorry two weeks ago to steal a trailer of engines within six minutes, before returning to the Solihull plant hours after to steal more, despite CCTV coverage.

The raid mirrors the £1m engine heist from three years ago at the same plant.

A spokesperson for the West Midlands Police said: “Three men, aged 47, 40 and 29 were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to steal and have been bailed pending further enquiries. The investigation is on-going.”

They encourage anyone with information regarding the theft to call police on 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 08000 555 111.
