Summer begins in Coventry as temperatures rise

Temperatures are set to rise well into the twenties from next week, beginning Monday 15 May in Coventry.

After showers at the weekend, the week ahead is predicted to be warming up with temperatures increasing to 20ºC from Tuesday 16.

“The end of this week and the weekend looks set to be warmer than average with temperatures climbing up to 5ºC above average,” The Weather Channel’s forecaster Hannah Findley said.

“It could be even warmer at the start of next week with the mercury set to rise up to 9ºC above normal.”

“However, from Thursday cloud and patchy light rain are forecast to move in from the south on a slow moving front, so although it will be warm, it may not feel much like summer,” she added,

“The good news is, this should offer gardens a well-needed watering, with many places receiving a centimetre of rain between now and Saturday.”
