School bus hit by lorry – falls into ditch

A Johnsons school bus was in a collision with a lorry after 8am this morning, resulting with the bus falling on its side into a ditch in Bubbenhall Road, Baginton, near Coventry Airport.

A Johnson’s bus

The Johnson’s Excelbus 534 Service was involved in the crash with the lorry, with the bus carrying children on board, according to Warwickshire Police.

No one is reported to be injured.

“Due to a vehicle issue the 534 will not service Baginton or Finham this morning,” a tweet from Johnson’s said.

“Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Thankfully, due to the quick thinking of our driver, no-one was hurt,” they added.

A replacement bus is thought to be covering the area for the 534 service.

Johnson’s Coach and Bus Travel is based in Henley-in-Arden.
