Read this young Coventry girl’s moving thank you letter to local police

A young girl from Coventry has written a moving letter to local police after her mum’s phone was handed in by a stranger.

“There were so many important things on there and you saved the phone,” Aisha, who is aged 11, wrote in her letter.

“When I get older I want to be a police officer and help people just like you,” the girl added.

The Coventry Magpie Team, which works to recover stolen goods, tweeted their pride at the letter.

“This is what makes the job so worthwhile,” they said.
