Police seize £2,000 worth of drugs on Nuneaton street

Officers seized £2,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine in Nuneaton yesterday (Thursday), police have revealed.

Plain clothed officers from the Offender Management Unit were out on patrol around Lexington Court near Abbey Green when they found a man acting suspiciously.

He was seen throwing an item behind a front garden wall.

When retrieved, the item was found to be a big, grip-sealed bag with 169 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine in it.

The man was arrested at the scene and a second man was arrested close by, the Nuneaton News reported.
