Police searching for fraudster after vulnerable OAPs handed over cash

Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly couple was tricked into handing over cash to a fraudster.

The incident happened in Binley Woods on Tuesday (18th April) when a man entered a property through a side door in Sir Winston Churchill Place.

He entered their conservatory between 1pm and 2.30pm and told the occupants they owed him money for guttering and window cleaning – work which he hadn’t carried out.

They handed over cash and the fraudster left.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting “214 of April 18”.
