Man collapsed after heart attack rescued outside builders’ yard

A worker wearing a black hoodie at the Builders Supply Stores at Spon End was performing CPR on the man who suffered a heart attack when the paramedic arrived, according to an eyewitness.

The man collapsed earlier today by his car around 10:30am, prompting a worker to attempt to resuscitate him before the Warwickshire and Northampton Air Ambulance arrived.

A spokesperson for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “They were successfully able to restart the man’s heart prior to transporting him to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire by land ambulance.

“However, the man’s condition is still thought to be serious.”
