Man charged after petrol station stabbing in Earlsdon

Police have charged a 21-year-old man with murder following a stabbing outside a petrol station in The Butts at the weekend.

Tyler Smith, from Attoxhall Road in Coventry, will appear before Coventry Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday).

He is charged with the murder of Mark Nesmith, who died from his injuries in hospital on Monday.

A 23-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been bailed.

“Our darling son Mark was a fun loving caring, talented young man who will be badly missed by all that knew him, our hearts are broken,” said his mother Linda.
