Coventry schoolboy Oscar scoops Olivier award for his performance in Lloyd Webber musical

A Coventry teenager has won a coveted Olivier Award for his performance in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical School of Rock.

Oscar Francisco, 13, picked up his prize at the ceremony in the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday (9th April).

Oscar and his bandmates collected the prize in the “Outstanding Achievement in Music” category.

Oscar, who studies at King Henry VIII school on Warwick Road, plays Lawrence in the show.

He and his team play live at the show in the New London Theatre.
