Coventry PhD student enters finals for STEM For Britain

The finals for the ‘STEM For Britain’ competition, designed to support and promote young STEM researchers, takes place today at the Attlee Suite in Westminster.

23-year-old Thomas Adams is presenting his research today to MPs on red core disease in strawberries to improve disease resistance.

The initiative is sponsored by Stephen Metcalfe MP, Chairman of the ‘STEM For Britain’ organising group of the Parliamentary and Scientific Committee.

The prizes include medals and up to £3000 for the gold award.
