Coventry man jailed for his role in shotgun armed robbery

A 28-year-old man from Coventry has been sent down by a court in Nottingham over his role in a robbery.

Nathan Clarke, of Wrigsham Street near the train station, received a sentence of 15 years for converting criminal property and conspiracy to rob – as well as for another unrelated crime.

He was part of a robbery gang who broke into a jewellery store in the town of Newark in 2016.

The gang was armed with a gun and hammers, and nicked £250,000 worth of items.

The gang – which included nine other members – received a combined sentence of 80 years.
