A Coventry-based tooling business which struggled to find a suitable headquarters decided to take matters into its own hands – by putting up a building itself.
Exactaform, based at the Little Heath Industrial Estate, has over 50 staff and supplies a number of big names like Airbus and Ford.
The fast growth of the company meant that new space was needed, so the business decided to put up a 40,000+ square foot property – including a canteen and gym – in Prologis Park in Keresley.
Jamie White, from Exactaform, said growth was the main reason for the move.
“Firstly, we needed to grow and there was very little available space in the region that suited our requirements,” he said.
“Building our own, therefore, allows to expand into a new unit now and also means we can plan for future growth.
“By incorporating elements such as a gym and canteen – coupled with a lovely landscaped location – we can also help to compete for and attract staff.
“That’s very important to us because we are a skilled workforce and understand that we need to offer a great working environment. We are even employing an interior designer to make sure we get that side of things right,” he added.
Part of the building will be let through firm Shortland, Penn and Moore on a short-term lease.
