It has been five years since little boy Daniel Pelka was found dead with a serious head injury at home in Coventry.
And today people are set to gather at his memorial in St Paul’s Cemetery, Holbrooks, from 1pm onwards to remember him.
“As you all know on the 3rd of March it will be the 5th anniversary of Daniel’s death,” wrote organisers on Facebook.
“We are hoping that you will join us on 3rd of March in Coventry to remember a beautiful little boy with his whole life ahead of him, taken away so very cruelly.”

The four-year-old had been starved by his mother Magdalena Luczak and her partner over a period of months.
Daniel was also locked in a tiny room and had to endure water torture.
They were both jailed for 30 years in 2013. Both have since been found dead in their prison cells.
Today’s event will see special environmentally-friendly balloons set off into the air in his memory.
“The balloons we are using are biodegradable and the tags when they hit the ground have seeds in them,” organisers said.
The youngster is buried in Poland.
